BLOOD
Blood Cells (A Very Important Part of your Blood)You have 2 types of blood cells in your body. They
are white blood cells and red blood cells. Without blood cells, we would all die. Red Blood Cells:
-give red blood cells their red color
White Blood Cells:
for pathogens -forming tissues and searching for pathogens -releasing antibodies - antibodies: chemicals that identify and/or destroy Pathogens

Why We Need BloodWe need blood for many reasons. The most important is so that our blood cells can travel in it. If we didn't have blood, our blood cells wouldn't be able to get around in our bodies. Our body parts wouldn't get oxygen from the Red Blood Cells so we wouldn't have body parts, at least ones that are alive! There wouldn't be anything to fight pathogens in our body, so we would die. Also, cells wouldn't be able to receive nutrients carried by blood. As you can see, blood is very important.
