WELCOME Nerves and Neurons
|
Nerves are the things that connect the Central Nervous System to the rest of the body. Nerves are axons bundled in blood vessels and connective tissue. Axons in nerves are from both sensory and motor neurons. Neurons are nerve cells. There are three types: afferentneurones (sensory- recieve), efferentneurones (motor-send), and interneurones. Neurons have three parts, a large cell body, dendrites, and axons. Dendrites recieve and axons send out. There are four main types of dendrites explained in our presentation. There are three types of neurons, unipolar, bipolar, and multipolar.

Importance of The Nervous SystemYour nervous system is the allowance of reactions. It allows you to observe your surroundings and react to them. Also the brain, part of the Central Nervous System, is the control center for your whole body. Without the nervous system it would be unable to control the rest of your body. Your nervous system produces impulses to your muscles and bones to react. Without sensory and motor neurons. your body wouldn't be take in your surroundings and produce an appropriate response/output.
